Our care recommendations:

Ostrich leather is an exceptional material, renowned for its softness, durability, and distinctive grain marked by natural quill follicles. To preserve its natural beauty and longevity, we recommend using a light, nourishing cream suitable for delicate leathers.

Apply a small amount of cream with a soft cloth, using gentle circular motions without pressing too firmly. Allow the product to penetrate for a few minutes, then lightly buff with a clean cloth to restore the leather’s natural sheen.

We recommend using a mild leather care product such as Saphir Crème Universelle or a lotion specifically designed for exotic leathers, which will nourish the leather without saturating the follicles or altering its characteristic texture.

Never use the following on an ostrich leather belt:

  • Classic shoe polish (too greasy, may clog the follicles)
  • Leather greases or oils (neatsfoot oil, mink oil, etc.)
  • Waterproofing sprays
  • Thick creams not intended for delicate leathers
  • Hard or abrasive brushes
